Abigail Heringer & Noah Erb Reveal Where They Plan to Honeymoon and How They Feel About Getting Married!
Spilling the tea.
Last August, “Bachelor in Paradise” couple Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer got engaged.
The couple is currently settling into their life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, renovating their home, and getting excited about their wedding.
The two are planning their intimate Oklahoma ceremony for later this year, and Abi and Noah just joined the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast to discuss all things wedding, home renovations, and their relationship.
Podcast hosts Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles started off the episode by asking Abi and Noah if they’re ready for their upcoming wedding.
The Bachelor Nation couple shared that everything is already pretty much planned. Noah added that he’s “very excited for the wedding and the life we’re trying to create out here.”
Susan asked where the two plan on honeymooning and Noah shared that he’s the one in charge of planning their trip.
“The goal is to go to Japan, go to Kyoto, Tokyo. Live some of the culture, explore the city, and then go to the Philippines,” he said.
The podcast host then followed up and asked how their home renovations are going since Abi and Noah have been trying to keep fans up to date on their progress.
“I feel like we’re fixing more problems than actually renovating and creating something cool out of it,” Abi said.
“We moved here about a year ago and we’re pretty much done with our downstairs. We redid our kitchen. We came here with no furniture, so it was just a lot of shopping for that. And then right now it’s gonna be 90 degrees outside and our AC decided to stop working, so that’s Noah’s project for today,” she laughed.
Both Susan and Kathy chimed in wanting to know what happened with their AC, to which Noah revealed that a bat had flown into it.
He said, “I took [the AC] all apart… and I reached my little grubby hands in there and I felt something fuzzy and chills down my spine. It was a bat.”
“I was inside enjoying the AC decorating the living room, no idea this was going on,” Abi added chuckling.
Susan and Kathy then asked the soon-to-be newlyweds some questions about their relationship.
The first was why they want to get married and what marriage means to them.
Abi answered, “I want to get married because I lived my life in my early 20s single and that was a very fun time figuring out who I was. But there’s just something about going through life with somebody, with a best friend, and just doing everything together.”
She went on, saying, “And I feel like that’s what marriage means to me. Going through the good times and the bad times and it’s been my favorite part, so I’m just super excited to keep doing what we’re doing but married instead of engaged.”
Noah responded with a slightly different answer. He said, “I love this woman. I grew up very traditional. My view of marriage is that it’s kind of a covenant and you work on it just like you work on yourself and your relationship with God and your family. It’s all kind of a bundle for me. I don’t plan on us ever separating; we’re locked in forever. And marriage is a great way, to me, for us to symbolize that and stick to it.”
Both Susan and Kathy were very impressed with their responses and told them they both get A’s. The podcast hosts then asked about how they handle disagreements with one another.
Abi shared that she and Noah are different in how they want to approach arguments, so it took some compromise.
She said, “This was a learning curve for us because we’re very different. I think naturally, I’m somebody that needs space. If something happens, I need to step away, take some time, and just really think through the situation and my answer. Whereas he’s somebody where he wants to address it right away and talk through it with a conversation and figure it out.”
She went on, saying, “So it was something that we both have had to work on, so I kind of had to compromise and say, ‘Okay, I can’t just leave you hanging, like that’s not fair to you’... So I feel like I’ve been working on trying to talk through it the minute something starts bothering me instead of waiting for it to build up and fester.”
Noah expanded on that and admitted that he’s learned to let the little things go.
He said, “If it bothers me enough that I keep thinking about it, then I stop what I’m doing, we tackle it. We don’t go to bed angry.”
He explained how they address arguments by saying, “One thing we try to do is let her have her space. Especially because I found that sometimes some of our arguments come down to miscommunication. And I don’t mean like, ‘Oh, we didn’t communicate well.’ I mean literally there was a gap of communication, and we work better if we have our conversation, she gets space, and then I text out kind of what I’m saying so there’s no [misunderstanding].”
Both Kathy and Susan commented on how impressed they are with Noah and Abi’s relationship and told the fiancés that they’re going to have a great marriage.
We love hearing from both Abi and Noah and seeing their love shine. We can’t wait for their big day!
