Beverly Reveals the REAL Reason She Left ‘The Bachelor’ — Find Out Why Here!
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Beverly on Grant Ellis’ season of “The Bachelor” and she received one of the coveted one-on-one date cards during this week’s episode.
Unfortunately, Grant and Beverly never got to go on their date because she left the show for an unexplained reason.
Beverly stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, where she opened up to Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt about why she left the show so abruptly.
Beverly said she started not feeling well, sharing, “I knew something was not right. I know my body, I listen to my body, and something was not okay. I wasn’t sure if it was food poisoning; I thought maybe it was. My whole stomach was hurting. It’s not like one side was hurting and I didn’t think it was anything serious. I thought I was just having really bad stomach pain.”

The Bachelor Nation star continued, “At this point, because I had gone so long with throwing up, I thought that was why my stomach was hurting even more because I had nothing in my tummy. They ended up taking me to the hospital and they gave me an IV because I was not okay. I was there for three hours and they gave me morphine and the pain finally went away. I wanted to know what was wrong with me, so after three hours of being in the ER, the doctor came in and said, ‘You have appendicitis and you’re going to need emergency surgery.’”
Serena and Joe said they knew it must’ve been serious because Beverly didn’t return to the mansion.
Beverly agreed and shared what it was like to need emergency surgery during filming.
She said, “At that point, I was still not really processing. I am a crier and I’m emotional, but I did not even cry. My family wasn’t there and my friends weren’t there and I was about to have major surgery on an organ. In 2018, I already had my gallbladder removed and now my appendix is being removed. I’m losing organs left and right — what is going on?! I live in New York and I’m thousands of miles away.”
We are so glad Beverly is healthy and doing better now. Check out more of her conversation with Joe and Serena on the full episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour” below.
