Chris Watson Reflects on Winning ‘Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ 5 Years Ago: ‘Life Comes at You Fast’

Bachelor Nation fans got to know Chris Watson on the very first season of “The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart,” where he won the competition.
Since his time on the show, Chris has been releasing his own music and even officiated fellow Bachelor Nation star Julia Rae’s wedding.
Now, he has taken to Instagram to reveal that it’s been five years since his win on the inaugural season of “LTYH.”
He shared, “You know sometimes they say that life comes at you fast? This morning was one of those mornings. I was like, let’s put on a little sweater and I said, you know what, let’s wear this ‘Bachelor’ sweater. And then I checked my little casio, and I looked at the date, and five years ago today / tomorrow, I won ‘Listen to Your Heart.’ Which is a really wild thing to do.”
Chris continued and shared a little bit about his journey going on the show and how winning the competition caught him by surprise.
“I never, I can’t say I never thought that I would do a reality television show,” he said. “Because I always thought if get on a singing show that I’d at least make it to Hollywood. And I did ‘The Voice’ years ago and I never got an audition and then when I did ‘The Bachelor,’ I had zero doubt that I was not going to, like I was like I’m not going to get kicked off early. But then I ended up winning, which is kind of crazy.”
Chris ended his post with the overall message to keep living life because it moves quickly, and shared his disbelief in his caption that he won the show.
He expressed, “Life comes at you fast! Sometimes, I still can’t believe it happened, but yes, I was on @listentoyourheartabc and won it!”
Followers filled his comments with words of support, and fellow Bachelor Nation alumni Ryan Neal said, “I was trying to give you my rose homie, they wouldn’t let me! Spoiler 🎸”
One person shared their disbelief for how many years have passed and wrote, “5 years is actually insane 😵” and another person added, “You the man 👏”
