Sarafiena Reveals Her Comment About Zoe’s Dress Length Brought Them Closer Together

Spilling the tea…
Bachelor Nation fans are getting to know Sarafiena as she looks for love with Grant Ellis on Season 29 of “The Bachelor.”
This week, she joined Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to give her take on the Rose and Carolina drama, and to address the comment she made about Zoe’s dress length in last week’s episode.
In explaining the tension that built between her and Zoe that led to the dress comment, Sarafiena said, “For context, that first group date was the night after the Rose Ceremony, so we don’t know each other very well… And Zoe is definitely more of a ‘go for what she wants’ kind of girl, which like you have to respect to a point. But also, it can step on other people’s toes because, again, we’re just all getting to know each other… So I think that kind of snowballed into the cocktail party that night, and then into the group date the next week, the cocktail party the next week.”

Sarafiena continued and revealed that while she’s not proud of the comment she made, it actually brought her and Zoe closer together.
“I definitely made a comment, and I hated that. Wasn’t my best moment,” she admitted. “I was definitely hard on myself for so long about it but I’m also giving myself some grace with it because I’m human and we all say things that we don’t mean or we’re like, ‘That was [crappy] in the moment.’ But also, we talked and in a weird way it actually got Zoe and I to bond because we realized that we were feeling the same things but we were just articulating it in different ways. And I was going through things at that time because it is such an emotional, rocky journey. And we sometimes as people don’t know how to communicate well, and I really do think in a weird way, it got us to see each other in a different light.”
Bachelor Nation also saw Rose send herself home in Madrid after the drama with Carolina continued to heat up, so Sarafiena chimed in with her take on what happened.

“What I’ll say is, I think going back to week three in L.A. to that Rose Ceremony night, you really don’t see Rose speak much and I think it’s because she was so caught off guard,” she stated. “I think she thinks about things before she actually speaks, so I think she was really trying to understand what he was saying, what he might’ve said in the past, and what Carolina might’ve said about her. And I think from then, she kind of retreated back into herself and took that also into Spain. And going to the Rose Ceremony in Madrid, I think all of that bubbled up because it is a giant game of telephone at this point and all of that bubbling up, I think it unfortunately burst on her and she reached her limit at that point. So I feel so bad about that.”
Sarafiena then shared how she would have reacted in that situation, saying, “I think it goes back to it’s not what’s said, but it’s how you say it. And I think I would’ve phrased the conversation way differently, but it is also very hard to hear. But then you also have to remember, it is so early on, so that’s another thing.”
