Arie Luyendyk Gets Candid About His Vasectomy Reversal and Reveals He’d Go Back on ‘Traitors’: ‘Um Yes!’

Opening up.
Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham Luyendyk got engaged on Season 22 of “The Bachelor.”
Less than a year after announcing their engagement at the end of “The Bachelor” Season 22, the pair wed at Maui’s Haiku Mill in a breathtaking ceremony.
Since then, they’ve welcomed three children: Alessi and twins Senna and Lux.
If you’ve been keeping up with the Luyendyk family, you know that Arie got a vasectomy and they said they were done having children.
The two had been flirting with the idea of reversing Arie’s vasectomy and teasing that they might want another baby.
And last month, they announced that Arie did just that in a YouTube video titled, “Growing our family,” where they revealed they are trying for baby number four.
Now, Arie is opening up about his vasectomy reversal procedure in a new Instagram Q&A.

A fan asked him how painful the reversal recovery was and Arie got candid, saying, “Recovery was a long road unlike the initial vasectomy. Six weeks of not lifting anything more than 10lbs. Couldn't work out, walk fast, or cough otherwise it felt like someone kicked me hard in the 🥜s. I know it’s nothing compared to childbirth (obviously), but if you're considering a reversal just be prepared for being out of commission for a while.”
The former Bachelor also opened up more about his decision to get the reversal.
He said, “If you would have asked me two years ago I was dead set on not being an older dad and having more kids. Then life got a lot easier. It's been so fun raising them. We thought man, look how cute they are! Should we have another, we can handle it right? At that moment I knew I rushed the vasectomy decision. The newborn stage is temporary so if you’re feeling underwater and don't know if you can handle it just know that feeling isn’t forever.”
Another fans asked Arie if he would ever go back on “Traitors” again after playing the beloved game in Season 1.
He said, “Um yes! I think I would play it a bit differently next time. The new season is good, but I feel some of the contestants’ reactions and mannerisms are off, like they are trying to act or play a character of some sort. Idk maybe it’s just Tom and Danielle. Wish Boston Rob would have won it lol!”
We love hearing from Arie and we can’t wait for more updates about growing the Luyendyk family. We will keep you all posted!
