Hannah Brown Opens Up About Rare Double Uterus Diagnosis and Future Fertility Plans

Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Hannah Brown as the Season 15 Bachelorette.
Since her time on the show, she has found love off-screen with fiancé Adam Woolard and the two are planning their wedding for later this year.
Hannah loves keeping fans updated with her life and this week she stopped by Maria Menounos’ podcast “Heal Squad,” where she got candid about an unexpected personal health update.
People reported that Hannah revealed that she’s been diagnosed with a double uterus, a rare condition affecting only about 0.3% of people assigned female at birth, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
While Hannah shared that she isn’t actively thinking about starting a family just yet, her diagnosis adds a layer of complexity to her journey to conceive in the future.
Hannah shared that she hasn’t gotten any surgeries to fully understand her condition but shared that from what doctors can tell, “It looks like [the two uteruses] are attached in some way. So it’s just like a split.”
The former Bachelorette has a lot on her plate right now with wedding planning, but per her doctor’s recommendation, she is going to prioritize egg freezing after her wedding later this year.
And Hannah is staying hopeful about being able to have a healthy pregnancy one day, saying, “There have been cases of people having double uteruses and having babies and being perfectly fine. It was definitely a shock. But to have the knowledge of ‘Hey, this is something that you’re going to want to take care of when you’re ready for that time’ was helpful.”
Maria asked Hannah if becoming a mom is something she longs for, and Hannah was honest with her answer.
She said, “I go back and forth. I definitely think I would love to have a child, and I don’t want to miss out on that experience. But I haven’t been quite ready yet, which I think makes sense. I want to get married first. I want to be able to do that. I do think I’m going to want to have that experience when it’s time.”
