Jenn Tran Featured in ‘Unforgettable’ AAPI Heritage Month Campaign: ‘I’m Deeply Honored’
Continuing to make history.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Jenn Tran on Season 28 of “The Bachelor” and then on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette,” where she was the first Asian American Bachelorette.
May is AAPI Heritage Month and now Jenn is being honored as a part of Maybelline and Bustle’s empowering new campaign.
Alongside photos and videos from the campaign, Jenn took to social media to write, “This year has been filled with surreal, pinch-me moments — and this one is truly unforgettable. I’m deeply honored and grateful to be part of such an iconic campaign celebrating AAPI Heritage Month.”
Jenn’s journey hasn’t been without challenges; in her post she reflected on her childhood and the complex emotions that came with being the only Vietnamese student in her school.
The former Bachelorette said, “Growing up as the only Vietnamese student at my school, I often felt othered — like I didn’t quite belong. To now come full circle and proudly celebrate my culture on such a visible and meaningful scale is nothing short of powerful.”
And Jenn shared how being the first Asian American Bachelorette helped her use her voice with purpose.
She said, “The journey of self-discovery hasn’t always been easy — it’s been layered with challenges, identity shifts, and growth. But this year marked a pivotal chapter: becoming the first Asian American Bachelorette and sharing my family, heritage, and story on national television was not just a personal milestone — it was a cultural one. That title has given me a platform, and I intend to use it — to speak louder, stand prouder, and celebrate my roots without hesitation.”
Jenn ended her reflection with a message of empowerment and pride for the entire AAPI community, saying, “So here’s to owning our identities with boldness. Here’s to celebrating our differences — not quietly, but unapologetically and with pride. Representation matters.”
