Jess Girod Gets ‘Humbled’ by Her Grandma About Her Dating Life

Bachelor Nation fans saw Jess Girod look for love on Season 27 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Season 9 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Last year, she moved to San Diego, California, and has been keeping fans updated with her life online.
Now, Jess revealed on social media that her grandma has recently taken a strong interest in her dating life.
In a new video, she said, “So, I don’t know if anyone’s grandma is like this, but whenever I’m in a relationship and me and the guy break up, I’m in a talking stage, anything happens and we don’t work out, she’ll cry and she’s very sad. I genuinely think she’s concerned for me.”
Jess continued and shared that her grandma got her a gift, focused on helping her find a relationship.
“She got me this book a couple years ago. It’s called ‘The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts.’ So sweet, she wrote me a note in it, just the nicest lady ever,” she said before holding up a second book. “She got me it again. I do not know if she remembers or not that she got me this book and I do not know if this is a prank. Regardless, I love her so much.”
Jess then laughed and read the note her grandma left her inside the second book.
She expressed, “My favorite part in this, she said, ‘With the right attitude, love, and understanding, a relationship can be something beautiful and rewarding.’ Grandma, I want that too! I hear you loud and clear. I can get ’em, but they don’t last. And I will read this book; I have two now.”
Jess wrote over the video, “My grandma is either pranking me or genuinely concerned that I’m still single,” and captioned the post, “I’ve been so humbled by my grandma.”
Followers filled the comments, sharing what they think the gift from Jess’s grandma meant.
Fellow Bachelor Nation star Genevieve Parisi wrote, “It’s like Grandma thinks you WANT this single life 😭”
One person commented, “I fear she’s losing sleep over your dating life lol,” to which Jess replied, “I don’t blame her it’s depressing lol”
