Alana Milne & Chris Conran Open Up About Heartbreaking Pregnancy Loss: ‘Your Grief Is Real’

In our thoughts.
Chris Conran and Alana Milne’s relationship blossomed on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” and the Bachelor Nation couple has been going strong since they left the beach together.
Shortly after, the two moved in together in Salt Lake City and have been sharing their love with Bachelor Nation fans on social media.
Now, in a new deeply personal and emotional Instagram Story, Alana revealed she and Chris experienced pregnancy loss.
Her post offered raw insight into the grief she and Chris have faced over the past 10 weeks.
Alana said, “It’s been two and a half months since Chris and I lost our baby, and it’s still hard to put into words how much it has changed me.”
Alana bravely shared how isolating the experience felt at first, noting, “It seemed like everyone around us was having babies without any issues, and we were the only ones going through loss.”
She added a powerful reminder that miscarriage is far more common than many realize, saying, “1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss. It’s so much more common than people realize, we just don’t talk about it enough.”

The Bachelor Nation star added, “I’ve gone back and forth on whether to share any of this at all. But it felt like a shame to never speak about how much love we had, or how much this affected me. Some of the most important parts of life don’t always come with happy endings. That doesn’t make them any less real, or any less worth honoring.”
She went on, saying, “This morning I woke up thinking about how far I've come in the last 10 weeks. There have been good days, bad days, and everything in between. Even now, there are moments that feel incredibly heavy. I think that’s just a reflection of how real the love and connection was, and still is.”
Alana said her decision to open up wasn’t to seek sympathy but to help others feel less alone. “I wanted to share this today as a little virtual hug to anyone grieving a pregnancy, a baby, or a future they imagined,” she wrote. “Whether you held your baby in your hands or only in your heart, your love and your grief is real.”
She closed her post with a touching message to anyone currently facing a similar heartbreak, “If you’re in the trenches of loss right now, I hope this reminds you that you’re not alone.”
Our hearts are with Alana and Chris during this difficult time. By sharing her story, we know Alana has helped so many in the Bachelor Nation community and beyond.
