Jonathon Johnson Gets Candid About Mental Health: ‘I Haven’t Been Happy for a While Now’

Bachelor Nation got to know and love Jonathon Johnson on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” while he was looking for love with Jenn Tran.
Since his time on the show, Jonathon has been keeping fans updated with his life on social media, sharing about fun experiences and his time with other Bachelor Nation stars.
Now, he’s gearing up to appear on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise” and he took to Instagram to open up about how he’s been doing.
In a new post, the Bachelor Nation star wrote, “I haven’t been happy for a while now… and that doesn’t mean I’ve been sad. I just haven’t been able to find the joy in life like normal. In the last year my life has changed completely and I never fully allowed myself to process it and it started to wear on me. I was worried about what I put online, if what I bring to this new world is enough, and whether or not doing another show was a good idea.”
Alongside the caption, Jonathon shared a video of himself booking a last-minute flight to Barcelona.
He went on, saying, “I forgot that who I am at my core is a people pleaser and I love that about myself 90% of the time, but sometimes, when you go long enough and nobody does it for you, you forget to do it for yourself. I stepped away from posting and putting myself out there because I didn't feel right not doing it at my best, but f##k that 😂… REMEMBER HOW WORTHY YOU ARE!”
And Jonathon said the trip was exactly what he needed, ending his post by writing, “Take that much deserved time for yourself, and be the best version of yourself. That way, when you do things for others (or even yourself) they’re getting the best version of you!! Love y’all ❤️”
