Tanner Tolbert Reveals How He Tried to Impress Jade Roper Before Meeting on BIP
A love for the ages!
Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert first fell in love and got engaged on the beach during Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, they’ve gotten married and welcomed three children together: Emerson, Brooks, and Reed.
Now, Tanner is spilling the tea and sharing how he tried to impress Jade before the two met on the beaches of “Paradise.”
In an interview with former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe on her podcast “Off the Vine,” Tanner revealed whether or not he and Jade ever talked before going on “Bachelor in Paradise.”
He answered, “Not at all. There were a couple girls that reached out from previous seasons that DM’d me. Like, ‘Hey are you going to be there [on BIP]?’ And you can tell they were kind of trying to feel it out. But no, Jade and I had zero communication.”
Tanner then shared that he did want to make an impression on her, so he decided to “flirt” through social media.
He said, “The most I did, this was back in Twitter days when Twitter was, you know, before X. I followed Jade on Twitter and I would just like a lot of her tweets to let her know I was out there. And I’m like, ‘Hey.’ And that was it.”
And while the two Bachelor Nation stars didn’t actually talk before going on “BIP,” Tanner’s Twitter flirting didn’t go unnoticed.
“[Jade] joked about that because she always said that she noticed me doing that,” he revealed. “But yeah. I didn’t want to be creepy and try to DM, so that’s it. Twitter Likes is as far as I did.”
