Spilling the tea...

Bachelor Nation got to see Andrew Spencer and Alexe Godin meet and fall in love on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” 

While on the show, Alexe was very open about her student loan debt and her hope of paying it off if she received any of the prize money at the end of the show. 

And during the season finale, Andrew and Alexe became one of the final two couples, leaving Costa Rica with each other and $125,000. 

Now, the two are opening up about life after “Paradise” and spilling the tea on how they’ve decided to use their prize money. 

On the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Andrew admitted that while it would have been hard, he would’ve been okay if Alexe chose the money over him.

He said, “I’m very comfortable right now in life and like I said, it’s not even just the student loans. I think that kind of got overplayed. It was her whole lifestyle, like how she grew up and all the things that have happened in her life. I was just like, ‘You need this good thing in your life right now and then you can figure out if you want love in that space yet,’ you know what I mean?”

Alexe then jumped in, defending her choice of choosing love over the money and shared how Andrew’s reaction made her feel. 

“I think when I saw your reaction, when I saw you tear up,” she said, “I feel like you’re such a big goofy guy and we always mask with humor and to see you so vulnerable because you really wanted me to take that money… Seeing you, it just showed me how much you cared for me and how much you love me and I wouldn’t have done it any other way… I know I made the right decision.” 

Alexe then gave an update on the prize money and revealed whether she’s paid off her student loans.

She said, “I will say Alexe also was very rich responsible and she’s traveled a lot with that money now, so no, not yet.” 

Andrew also gave a current life update and shared his and Alexe’s plans for the future. 

“We’re gonna try to make her get to Chicago in January. She still works a big girl job. She’s an SLP (speech language pathologist). So she’s continuing doing that, helping out kids.” He went on, saying, “[She’s] super nurturing. I was like, ‘Damn, hey, you wanna have a baby?’ I’m just kidding. But yeah, I think we’re moving at a really good pace.”
