Trista Sutter Responds to Rumor She’s Becoming a Grandma: ‘Ignore/Block/Report/Sue’
Clapping back.
Trista and Ryan Sutter found love and got engaged on the very first season of “The Bachelorette.”
Trista gave Ryan her final rose in 2003, and the couple has been together ever since.
Since then, they’ve married and had two children: Max and Blakesley, who are both now teenagers.
Trista regularly updates fans on her life via social media, and this week she addressed an unfortunate rumor.
Fake news outlets recently ran headlines claiming, “Trista Sutter is going to be a grandmother.”
Trista responded in a new Instagram video, explaining that she first learned about it from a friend whose daughter used to date her son, Max.
At the time, Trista had shared pictures of Max and his ex, and now “those pictures of my family have been used for clickbait,” she said.
The former Bachelorette shared that her initial reaction was laughter, but her second reaction was anger.
“They are using photos of our children without our permission,” Trista said. “I get that I’ve posted photos of my children, but not to give fake news outlets permission to take those photos off my page and use them as clickbait to get people to click on their ads.”
She added, “To those who say, ‘You’re in the public eye, you should expect this,’ it’s one thing if it’s me, I can ignore it. It’s another thing when it’s my children. Don’t mess with their present or future.”
Alongside her post, Trista wrote: “Ignore/block/report/sue. That is the question. 🤔”
It’s good to see Trista set the record straight and a reminder to always double-check before believing what you read online.
