Mercedes Northup Flew to Boston for a Guy She Met in the DMs — Hear the Details!

Bachelor Nation fans got to know Mercedes Northup as she looked for love on Season 27 of “The Bachelor” and Season 9 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the show, Mercedes has been keeping followers updated with her life online and loves to hang out with her friends from Bachelor Nation.
Recently, Mercedes has started dating and looking for love again. And this week, she revealed that she might’ve found love off-screen.
While chatting with former Bachelor Ben Higgins on the “Almost Famous” podcast, Mercedes shared that she flew to Boston to go on a date with a guy she had met in her DMs.
She said, “I met him on Instagram, actually. He DM’d me and said he was coming to Nashville and would love to take me out. Then he was like, ‘I want to see you. Do you want to come out to Boston?’”
Mercedes continued and spilled more details on how long she’s in Boston, as well as her connection with this mystery man.
“I was like, ‘Sure!’ So now I’m in Boston for the weekend,” she shared, “He’s definitely my type. He has dark hair, he’s tall, he plays hockey. So I was definitely nervous but it’s just very easy and it’s never been awkward.”
The Bachelor Nation star also revealed that she is going to meet part of his family while she’s visiting.
She expressed, “There’s no awkward pauses ever. Like, we’re both yappers for sure. We’re going to dinner tomorrow night and his cousin and his girlfriend are going to meet up with us.”
Ben then replied, “Oh my goodness!” and followers filled the comments with their reactions such as, “Yasssssss🔥🔥🔥I hope everything works out for you❤️❤️❤️” and former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas who commented, “Yeeeesssssss @mercedesnorthup 🙌🙌🙌.”
