Tyler Cameron Says He’s in a ‘Custody Battle’ Between Rachael Kirkconnell and Matt James
Splitting time.
Bachelor Nation saw Rachael Kirkconnell and Matt James meet and fall in love on Season 25 of “The Bachelor.”
Earlier last year, Matt revealed that the two had unfortunately broken up, and Rachael shared it was due to each of them deciding they wanted different things.
The two are close friends with fellow Bachelor Nation star Tyler Cameron, and this week, he shared that he’s currently in a “custody battle” between the former pair.
During an interview with “Chicks in the Office,” Tyler teased, “Me and Rachael are great. We’re good friends, you know? There’s a custody battle happening right now. I get like every other weekend with Matt.”
One of the interviewers then asked if hanging out with Rachael and Matt causes any issues for either of them and Tyler answered honestly.
He said, “No. I think they’re both in their respective own lives now. And I can be friends with Matt and I can be friends with Rachael. She’s thriving and she’s doing great. They both are, honestly. Like Matt on the same side, he’s in, I think, the best space he’s been in in a long time.”
Tyler continued, commending the Bachelor Nation stars on how they’ve navigated this situation.
“It’s so hard to do what they did,” he expressed. “It’s so hard to be in that light to date and being a lead and having your person that you picked and all that they went through, is incredibly tough. And any breakup is a bad breakup. So it’s just like, for them to navigate where they are now, they’re both thriving, they’re both doing their own things.”
Tyler then joked that it does feel like splitting time between parents, but he’s going to remain supportive to both of them.
“And I can love them both and cheer for them both and you know it does feel like Mom and Dad,” he shared.
We’re so glad that Tyler remains good friends with both Matt and Rachael. We’re continuing to wish them all the best!
