As Bachelor Nation fans know, the most recent season of “The Bachelorette” is currently on pause. The men from Season 22 have been appearing on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to exclusively discuss how they’re feeling and share more of their stories.

This week, Ronn joined the podcast to open up about how he’s been doing and discuss the “open investigation” surrounding his mom’s recent passing. 

Last month, he took to social media to share the heartbreaking news that his mom had unexpectedly passed away following a cosmetic procedure in the Philippines. 

He said, “I lost the most important woman in my life. My mom tragically passed away in the Philippines after a cosmetic surgery. I’m still in disbelief. Just days before, we were joking about what she might wear or say at the ‘Men Tell All.’ And this week, I’m making arrangements for her funeral service.” 

Reflecting on how he’s been doing over the past few weeks, Ronn touched on the special connection he shared with his mom. 

“It’s a tough situation, but it’s beautiful in a way. I see loss like this as a privilege,” he expressed. “The pain that I feel is because I suffered a great loss. And I will take this part in tandem with all the love that I’ve gotten from my mom. She’s someone very special to me, it’s made me the man that I am today… I know love inside and out because I’ve received it for d**m near 30 years of my life unconditionally from her.”

Ronn then discussed getting involved in the current investigation and the toll it’s taken. 

“It happened in the Philippines and there’s an open case with it. So I can’t disclose too many details, lawyers are involved, there’s an open investigation,” he said. “Losing a parent is already hard enough, now I have to deal with a legal case. The last time I talked to my mom was literally talking about this show.” 

He revealed the two were planning a “Bachelorette” premiere party when his mom said that she was going to the Philippines for cosmetic surgery. 

Ronn admitted, “I don’t know much about cosmetic surgery. I know about fillers and Botox. I’m like, ‘All right, it’s probably gonna be something whatever.’ I FaceTime her post-surgery, what I saw was like, oh my God, this is more serious. I thought she said she lost a lot of blood, all this stuff. I won’t get into the details.”

He went on, “And then next thing I know, I get a call at 3 a.m. from my uncle and my stepdad crying their eyes out, wailing. And they didn’t have to tell me what happened, I didn’t have to know, I knew what happened. I turned off the phone after 5 seconds and cried my eyes out for like an hour. And then went straight to the Philippines and… I’m collecting evidence now for a case. So everything’s been put on pause.”
