‘The Bachelorette’s’ Conrad Shares His Funny Connection to ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’
Spilling the tea.
The most recent season of “The Bachelorette” is currently on pause, and as viewers wait to see what happens, the men from Season 22 have been appearing on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.
Each guy has been exclusively discussing how they’re feeling and sharing more of their stories so fans can get to know them better.
This week, Conrad joined the podcast to tell listeners more about himself and teased a little bit about his night one entrance.
Reflecting on that night, he said, “Night one getting out of the limo was the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life… There’s just nothing that compares to this experience getting out of the limo. And I remember I’m rolling up and I get out and I’m like, ‘Alright, I gotta be cool but I can’t be too cool. I gotta be normal, but I can’t be boring. And also, make sure you don’t fall down when you’re walking up to her.’”
Conrad went on, describing his entrance without giving away any spoilers. But teased that it was related to weddings he’s attended.
“I don’t want to give anything away, but my entrance definitely was a hat tip to the 60 weddings and Bachelor Parties [I’ve been to],” he said, “So I had some props with me that I had to manage and there was a lot going on. But I think it’s safe to say, most nervous I’ve ever been in my life. Pretty much blacked out my entire conversation with Taylor. I remember that I said I thought she was stunning, which she was. And then I had this whole speech memorized, I just like got through it and then did our little surprise that I had. And then afterwards it was like, ‘Okay I’m still alive, we did it.’”
The “Bachelorette” cast member then revealed a funny connection he shared to the series “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”
Remembering part of his conversation with Taylor, he spilled, “I actually said, ‘Hey, Taylor, I’m Conrad,’ and right away she said, ‘Oh, have you seen 'The Summer I Turned Pretty'?’ Connie baby.”
Conrad admitted he considered doing something related to the series for his entrance, but he went another direction instead. “That was definitely floated out there, but I really think you guys will like my entrance,” he stated.
