Amy Kaplan Gets Candid About Her Facelift Results and Why She’ll Never Touch Filler Again
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Amy Kaplan as she looked for love on Season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
As fans might know, Amy is also the mom of famous twin influencers Allie and Lexi Kaplan, and the three will often post content together online.
Recently, the Golden Bachelor Nation alum underwent major plastic surgery and documented her recovery on social media.
Now, she’s joining the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast to share more about that experience and why she decided to get a facelift.
Amy started off by sharing that in 2020, she had COVID and a high fever for three weeks that started affecting her filler.
“I used to do filler and Botox and all of that, and I had filler that started migrating,” she said. “Filler does not go away, I don’t care what anybody says. It started migrating. I hid it with dissolver, which I’ve done before. And for some reason, I had a systemic reaction and everything started sagging. It was really scary. And my whole body started sagging. But thank God, all good now. When [the doctor] went in, he found so much filler on the right side of my face. That’s where I had the injections, so this was taking a much longer time to heal. But all good so far.”
Amy continued, revealing more of her reasons for getting a facelift and noted that her doctor removed clumps of filler from her face during the surgery, which left her feeling much better afterward.
“I don’t really talk about it, but a lot of people are now starting to talk about their filler disasters and they’re saying filler never really leaves your body. And I think that the side that was dissolved, it started spreading and it really hit all my lymph nodes and everything and it became systemic,” she stated. “[The doctor] said he found clumps of filler and I have not done filler in 10 years; isn’t that crazy? And it was worse on the side with the dissolver.”
Touching more on her results and what she was hoping for, she shared, “I wanted a very, very natural lift. I wanted something that was undetectable. I just wanted to look like I did when I first moved out to L.A. and I think he did a really good job. I don’t even have incisions; they’re all in my hair and I did not lose any hair. I have dissolvables and I’m so itchy I’m going crazy, but… I wanted something very natural and I’ve been on a lot of consults and I felt very, very comfortable with him because we are aligned. Our aesthetics were very, very aligned.”
We are so happy Amy is recovering well! Listen to the rest of her interview in the full episode below.
