Tyler Cameron Shares the Real Reason He Was Never the Bachelor: 'I Wasn’t Mature Enough'
Spilling the tea.
Bachelor Nation got to know and love Tyler Cameron on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since then, he’s kept fans updated on his life online and recently wrapped his role as a main judge on the HGTV design competition series “Bachelor Mansion Takeover.”
During a recent interview with E! Entertainment, Tyler opened up about why he never ended up being the Bachelor, despite fans hoping he’d take on the role.
The interviewer asked, “You were asked to be on ‘The Bachelor’ as the Bachelor a number of times, from my understanding, why did you say no or not do it?”
Tyler got candid with his answer, saying, “I never felt like I was mature enough for it or in the right space mentally. Also, a lot of the time, I was in a relationship, so that’s probably not a good time to do that.”
The Bachelor Nation star added, “It’s an incredible honor and something that I always thought would be incredible to do. Luckily, I found love without it.”
As fans know, Tyler is referring to his longtime girlfriend, Tate Madden, who he’s been building a future with.
While the two have been teasing a possible engagement for a while now, Tyler recently shared that he’s also thinking about kids with Tate.
In one of his YouTube videos, he said, “In the next five years, we are married. We have a three-year-old, and a two-year-old, and a one-year-old. No, maybe a three-year-old and a one-year-old. Maybe a three-year-old and a one-and-a-half-year-old, you know?”
We love hearing from Tyler and are so happy he found love with Tate. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two!
