And this week, a very exciting moment took place when one of our Bachelor Nation stars popped the question to their partner while on the podcast!

Hakeem Moulton joined “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” with his girlfriend Monica Marie to chat about their recent pregnancy announcement and how they’re feeling about expecting a baby girl, who they revealed will be named “Marley-Marie Bliss Moulton.” 

While chatting, they also discussed future wedding plans, and Hakeem mentioned he and Monica are planning a quick courthouse wedding so she can go on his insurance. 

Co-host Kathy Swarts stepped in and wasted no time as she told Hakeem that he needs to propose on the podcast. She said, “Why don’t you, right now, get on one knee on this podcast and ask that beautiful woman to marry you right here? I’m deadly serious.” 

Hakeem responded that they’re already planning on getting married and Kathy retorted, “I don’t want to hear about insurance. I want you on your knee. I’ll give you the words if you can’t come up with them.”

Getting into the spirit, Hakeem then grabbed Monica’s hands and asked her, “Will you marry me?” She immediately replied, “I would love to!” 

“Congratulations, she said yes!” Kathy cheered, “Hakeem, I’m gonna tell you this is our first proposal on our podcast. So you guys, yay you! You’re now officially engaged, congrats!” 

The Bachelor Nation star then revealed that he’s currently creating a ring for Monica using the diamonds from another ring gifted by her mom. 

“I’m actually looking into getting a ring for her,” he said. “Obviously I’m doing it more on the secret side, so I’m getting kind of a ring put together for her. Because I also have another diamond ring as well, so we’re going to repurpose those and then we’re going to add to it as well.”
