Susie Evans Details ‘Very Emotional’ Egg Freezing Journey and Why Starting Made Her ‘Feel Sad’
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Susie Evans on Season 26 of “The Bachelor” and again on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the shows, Susie has been living in L.A. and keeping fans updated on her life online.
This week, she took to Instagram to share a deeply personal journey with her hundreds of thousands of followers — her decision to freeze her eggs.
Alongside a video of herself administering hormone injections, Susie wrote, “Yesterday was very emotional for me starting the medication. I felt a combination of fear, sadness, and immense gratitude for the science that makes this possible and for the opportunity to freeze my eggs.”
The Bachelor Nation star continued, “I felt so overwhelmed leading up to this moment because I filled my schedule to the absolute brim, knowing I would need to slow down during the two weeks before my egg retrieval.”
Susie also shared why beginning this process brought up so many emotions.
“Before starting, I had a moment where I reflected on everything that led me here. Honestly, I felt sad for a moment. I can be pretty hard on myself and sometimes feel discouraged that I haven’t figured out certain parts of my life just yet. But I also felt proud. Even though I don’t have everything figured out, I’ve come so far. I’ve accomplished so much,” she said.
In another post, Susie opened up about her health anxiety and shared that her past self could have never imagined being able to give herself injections or undergo a procedure like egg freezing.
She also expressed how proud she is of herself and we couldn’t agree more.
We’re so proud of Susie, and we know that sharing her experience will help so many others on a similar journey.
