Haley Ferguson Palve Diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes for a Second Time: ‘Cue the Anxiety’
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation first got to know Haley Ferguson Palve alongside her twin sister, Emily Ferguson Karlsson, on both “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the shows, Haley married Finnish hockey player Oula Palve in May 2021, and the two welcomed their first child, daughter Lovi, in April 2024.
Throughout her journey to conceive, Haley has been candid about her fertility challenges. The Bachelor Nation star has opened up about pregnancy loss, canceled IVF cycles, and the emotional toll her TTC journey has taken.
Earlier this year, Haley took to social media to share the exciting news that she and Oula are expecting their second child — another baby girl!
Since then, Haley has been keeping followers updated on her pregnancy and recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes for a second time.
In a selfie posted on her Instagram Story, Haley lifted her arm to show her glucose monitor and expressed, “Let’s run it back one more time 😵💫 cue the anxiety.”
The Bachelor Nation star was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her first pregnancy as well and shared her frustration over a screenshot of cinnamon roll croissants.
The recipe had been suggested to Haley on her social media feed and she stated, “Why does this always happen when I get diagnosed with GDM!? 😂my algorithm is out to get me!!!”
The soon-to-be mom of two also shared more about her glucose monitor and explained that it tracks her blood sugar for up to 15 days. She revealed a prescription wasn’t needed to receive it and it connects to an app and Bluetooth.
We’re sending Haley so much love during this pregnancy and wishing her all the best in this next chapter.
We can’t wait to meet her baby girl this summer!
