Demi Burnett Dishes Her Unfiltered Thoughts on ‘The Bachelorette’ and Taylor Frankie Paul
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Demi Burnett on Season 23 of “The Bachelor,” and then again on Seasons 6 and 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the shows, Demi has kept followers updated with her life on social media, often posting about her experience with her autism diagnosis, dating life, and incredible crocheting projects.
Demi has also not been shy about sharing her opinion on Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” online. And this week, she joined “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” to give all of her unfiltered thoughts.
In regard to the season’s pause and all the news surrounding the show, Demi said, “I mean absolute cinema. I am, I’ve never been so hooked and locked in on something for so long. I mean it’s very unfortunate for everyone involved, but as a bystander objectively, it’s been very entertaining and of course it’s also been very sad. I have very complex feelings about it.”
The Bachelor Nation star stated that although she has mixed feelings over what’s occurring, she still wants to see the season air.
“The ultimate feeling is like let’s see it, release it,” she said, “Let us see it, because so many people worked hard on it. Not just her, there’s a whole [crew].”
Demi shared she was surprised the season actually did get paused because she didn't think it would due to the incident occurring years ago and Taylor already going to court for it. She also revealed the thing that makes her “so sick” about the whole situation.
“We already knew that something, I mean we saw it on ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ like we already knew this really bad moment happened. The thing that makes me so sick is that I know this is exactly what Dakota wanted,” she said, “I hate that he’s winning. I hate that her not – like the season not being aired is like a win for him.”
Demi expressed she is more intrigued to see Taylor’s season now and from the promo she previously received, she thinks it’s going to be “stunning.”
“I’m dying to see it, me and all my friends are dying to see it. And we got the promo, and the promo was stunning,” she stated. “I love someone who’s gonna come in here and be like I don’t care what you think the value of this flower is. I’m taking it back, or whatever… I like to see how she’s breaking the 4th wall almost but not. It’s like she’s going against what you’re supposed to do on this show, and it’s fantastic.”
