Kevin Shares the Reason Why He Felt Like He Got ‘Punched in the Face’ on ‘The Bachelorette’
Keeping it real.
As Bachelor Nation fans know, the most recent season of “The Bachelorette” is currently on pause.
As viewers wait to see what happens, the men from Season 22 have been appearing on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to exclusively share more of their stories.
This week, Kevin joined the podcast and shared that he felt like he got “punched in the face” while on “The Bachelorette.”
Opening up to co-hosts Rachel Recchia and Charity Lawson, Kevin admitted that he didn’t know anything about Taylor beforehand.
The “Bachelorette” cast member shared that while his friends were telling him some details, he purposely chose to not do a lot of research on Taylor so he could get to know her in person.
“I just had no idea,” he said. “I was like, ‘Look, it’s gonna be fun, I’m just gonna go with an open mind and just enjoy the experience.’ Like, I went for the experience and then whatever happens, happens kind of thing. Because once you get closed off, you’re just not enjoying yourself.”
Kevin also gave some insight into his experience on Night 1 and revealed the reason why he felt like he got “punched in the face.”
He said, “Probably the most nervous I’ve ever been in my entire life. There’s this quote from Mike Tyson, he says, ‘Everybody has a plan until you get punched in the face.’ Me stepping outside of that limo was me getting punched in the face.”
Continuing, Kevin confessed that he went in with a plan but ended up blanking when he met Taylor.
“I’m like, ‘I’m gonna crush it. We’re gonna do this, this, and that.’ The second she said something, I’m like, ‘Uhhh, Kevin,’” he recounted.
