Debbie Siebers Discusses Getting Ghosted by Multiple Men: ‘Can Anyone Shed Some Light?’
Dating don’ts.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Debbie Siebers as she looked for love on Season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
Since her time on the show, she’s been keeping followers updated with her life online, often posting about her adventures and fitness routines.
This week, Debbie shared a video on social media opening up about her recent dating struggles and revealed she’s been ghosted by multiple men. She said, “Can anyone shed some light? ...I would love your feedback on this. I’m still very perplexed at what happened.”
The Golden Bachelor Nation star went on to explain that a guy she was supposed to meet had informed her he was going to be an hour and a half late as she was already waiting. When she decided to reschedule, he apologized, stating that he would make it up to her, then Debbie never heard from him again.
“That was one thing,” she said. Explaining another incident, she shared, “Right before I was about to leave, this man across the bar flagged me and I thought he looked really familiar.”
Debbie revealed the man used to be her neighbor a number of years ago, and they would always run into each other as they walked their dogs. Debbie admitted she always wondered if he was single, and the man confessed he’s always had a crush on her, wondering what she’s been up to. He even admitted he wished he’d gotten her number before she moved, so the two exchanged contacts and he immediately began texting her about how great it was to reconnect.
Debbie shared, “I said, ‘Yeah, the universe is crazy like that, isn’t it?’ And he goes, ‘Sure is.’ Never heard from him again.”
She went on, “I even, after a certain amount of time, reached out — which I never do — and I said, ‘Hey, what happened to you?’ with a little funny emoji. Nothing. So you know what, can you just shed some light? Guys? Women? …Am I missing something?”
People filled the comments with love and encouragement for Debbie, reassuring that it’s not her, as well as similar dating stories of their own.
We are sending our love to Debbie, and we’re so sorry she’s had to go through this. We think she is a great catch and we know she’ll find the right person!
