Michelle Young Reveals Treatments that ‘Genuinely’ Help Manage Her Chronic Illness
Opening up.
Former Bachelorette Michelle Young found love off-screen with husband Jack Leius, and in 2025 the two officially tied the knot in a gorgeous Minnesota wedding ceremony.
Last year, the newlywed couple left for their honeymoon but had to cut their trip short because of health issues.
Michelle discovered it was due to severe exposure to mold and mycotoxin illness, and later, she revealed that she was officially diagnosed with dysautonomia or, more specifically, POTS.
The former Bachelorette has been keeping fans updated with her life online and the struggles of living with a chronic illness.
She recently gave a glimpse into the treatments she’s been doing, and this week shared the “13 things that have genuinely helped” her manage her chronic illness.
Michelle explained that some help target the root cause while others minimize symptoms. And expressed that while she’s not a doctor, the 13 treatments are what have personally helped her during this time.
She started the list with weekly IV infusions, stating they’ve “helped reduce inflammation, improve energy and mental clarity.” The former Bachelorette shared that she also sees a Nervous System based chiropractor and focuses on incorporating movement into her routine to help slowly build endurance.
Michelle emphasized the importance of “consistent restful sleep” for managing her POTS symptoms and said that elevating her feet helps give her an energy boost afterwards.
The Bachelor Nation star continued, listing treatments such as compression, electrolytes, lymphatic drainage massage, and red-light therapy. She also shared that she constantly has an ice pack around her neck to help overheating, heart rate, and dizziness.
In addition to the physical treatments, Michelle revealed that she also practices daily gratitude or celebrations and giving herself grace to reduce stress and remind herself that she’s already enough.
We’re so happy to see Michelle healing and feeling better. We appreciate her vulnerability and we know her sharing her journey will help others experiencing the same thing.
We’re continuing to send our love to Michelle and wishing her all the best as she continues her treatments!
