Sarah Herron Admits She Was ‘Petrified’ of Solo Parenting with a Disability
Getting vulnerable.
Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and she later returned for Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Sarah found love off-screen with her husband Dylan Brown, and the two welcomed twin daughters, Evy and Coco, in 2024.
Since then, Sarah has kept followers updated on life as a family of four and what it’s like raising twins while navigating her limb difference.
This week, the Bachelor Nation star opened up about the fears she faced when she first became a mom.
Taking to Instagram, Sarah shared, “Two years ago, when I was freshly postpartum and oh-so-terrified to be a mom with a disability to two tiny beating hearts, someone commented on a post of mine saying that ‘I shouldn’t be left alone with the babies.’ As if I didn’t already think that, myself.”
She continued, “I’ll never forget that first day Dylan went back to work, petrified didn’t describe it. But by 7 months, I was alone with the girls for 10 days while Dylan visited Asia for work.”
Alongside a video of herself solo parenting her daughters, Sarah reflected on the journey and how far she’s come.
“It hasn’t all been easy, and if you’ve been following my account, you know it’s taken some creativity (lots of baby wearing),” she wrote. “I choose to believe to this day that original commenter truly did have mine and my daughters’ best safety in mind. I hope. But in the case that you have stumbled upon this post as an expecting mom with a disability, I’m here to say: You’ve totally got this.”
Sarah’s honesty and vulnerability continue to inspire so many, and we know her message will resonate with parents facing similar challenges.
