Rachel Nance Recalls ‘Blacking Out’ After a ‘Traumatic’ Experience Working as a Nurse
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Rachel Nance on Season 28 of “The Bachelor” when she looked for love with Joey Graziadei.
Since her time on the show, she has been sharing her life with Bachelor Nation on social media, posting everything from her experiences as a nurse to her friendships, her work on a screenplay, and everything in between.
Recently, Rachel has been very open about the highs and lows of her career as a nurse.
Alongside a video from an influencer event Pilates class, Rachel wrote, “A reminder to check on the nurses in your life.”
In the video, the Bachelor Nation star said, “As I was editing my footage, I realized I completely blacked out at the beginning of my Pilates class, and I’m going to be honest as to why. Nursing is by far one of the most overstimulating careers out there. Sometimes when I go to events, I am mentally replaying a traumatic moment from work.”
Rachel went on to share, “I’ll hear hospital alarms ringing in my head, and my heart will start racing because I’m fighting the urge to just go to sleep. But no matter how bad the pre- and post-work anxiety is, life goes on, and I’ll always love being a nurse.”
Many of Rachel’s fellow Bachelor Nation stars, including Parisa Shifteh and Daisy Kent, commented on her video to show their support.
Parisa even chimed in, writing, “I’m in the mental health field and I feel this sooooo hard 😮💨”
We know Rachel being honest and open about both her love for nursing and the challenges that come with it will help others feel more seen.
Sending her a big hug today, and thank you for the incredible work you do!
