Kaitlyn Bristowe Gets Candid About Her Plastic Surgery Mishap: ‘I Was Panicking’

Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Kaitlyn Bristowe on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since her time on the shows, Kaitlyn loves to keep followers updated with her life on social media as well as her podcast.
And last year, the former Bachelorette opened up about receiving an upper bleph surgery, aka an eyelid lift, along with a breast augmentation.
Kaitlyn is known for keeping things real with her followers, and recently on a podcast interview, she got candid about a plastic surgery mishap.
While talking about her upper bleph, Kaitlyn told the story of the time her dog Pinot accidentally scratched her eye during the healing process.
“So, I did the upper bleph. Just very minimal, for more, like, symmetry in my eyes,” she said. “It was so crazy, though. So when I got my bleph, you know you got the stitches and all the things. And I just got the stitches out and I had a few glasses of wine and I went home. And every time I go home, I just dive face first into my dogs. And my one dog, Pinot, [scratched my eye] and I was like Rocky.”
Kaitlyn went on and revealed, “My eyelid was just hanging open. It was December 23rd, so right before Christmas, and the guy that I’m dating was with me and he was like, ‘You should have seen yourself.’”
The former Bachelorette then detailed panicking in that moment and what she did to cope.
“I don’t smoke cigarettes. I was panicking. I had the door open to my backyard, smoking a cigarette somebody had left there from a party,” she recalled. “I was just smoking a cigarette, drinking a glass of wine, my eyelid hanging open, FaceTiming my doctor while she was at a Christmas party being like, ‘What do I do?’”
Kaitlyn then finished the story while laughing and revealed her doctor’s response, “She goes, ‘Lube it up, I’ll see you in the morning.’”
What a story! We can’t imagine how nerve-wracking that must’ve been. We’re glad everything got figured out and Kaitlyn’s eyelid healed great.
