Sarah Herron Worries Her Family Will Always Feel ‘Incomplete’ & Debates Having Another Baby
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation got to know Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and again on Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Sarah found love off-screen with husband Dylan Brown, and after many highs and lows of her IVF journey, she revealed they were expecting a baby boy in 2023.
However, Sarah then took to social media to share the tragic news that their son Oliver had passed away shortly after he was born prematurely at 24 weeks.
She eventually did more rounds of IVF and welcomed twin girls in July 2024.
Now, Sarah is opening up online about her family and the possibility of having another baby.
In a new video, the Bachelor Nation star shared that as her twin girls turn two, she has been “aching and longing” for another baby. But at the same time, also feeling like she’s “just getting back to a sense of normalcy.”
Sarah also talked about raising toddlers with a limb difference and says it “adds a whole other layer of challenge.” She explained that now, “The girls can almost get in and out of the stroller by themselves, they can walk in and out of the house, I’m not constantly having to do everything with one hand.”
Sarah revealed she has two embryos left and partially wants to transfer them, but also isn’t sure she wants to go through the IVF journey again.
“We still have two embryos. Part of me feels, especially as a loss mom, I want to just transfer them almost for closure. So I’m struggling with that,” she said. “And I’m also just realizing that the IVF journey and the journey of losing a baby is so traumatic. And to revisit all of that again, it is hard. I don’t know where we stand. So the debate is: do we have baby number 3 and buckle down and endure a few more years of sleep deprivation? Or is it just that I miss my babies, not necessarily having a baby?”
The Bachelor Nation star then expressed that she also worries her family will always feel “incomplete” due to the loss of her son Oliver.
“One BIG thing I forgot to address in this yap is that I worry I may always feel that our family is incomplete because Oliver left a hole that cannot be filled. So yeah, I’m at a loss,” she shared.
We are sending our love to Sarah and her family, and we’re keeping them in our thoughts as they navigate this chapter. We know Sarah sharing her story will help others feel less alone.
