Dean Bell Shares How He’s Supporting Caelynn Bell Amid ‘Tough’ Fertility Struggles

Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes (now Bell) first found love on Season 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, the two have gotten engaged, bought a home in Colorado, and officially tied the knot in 2023 at Beyul Retreat in Meredith, Colorado.
Last year, Caelynn was open with fans about their journey to start a family, sharing that it’s been harder to conceive than expected.
And a few months ago, the couple gave an update that they are currently putting those attempts “on pause.”
Now, Dean is opening up in an exclusive with E! News about how he’s supporting Caelynn during this time. While chatting with the outlet, he shared that the journey to start a family has been “tough” for both of them.
“What I have known for a long time — that’s not really talked about much — is with pregnancy struggles, it’s just as much the guy that is the girl,” he said. “It’s so easy to point the finger at the girl because she’s the one that’s eventually carrying the baby to term.”
Dean continued and expressed, “To get the ball rolling is just as much the guy’s responsibility as the girl’s, and I think it’s an overlooked part of that journey itself.”
The Bachelor Nation star then explained how he’s been trying to support Caelynn as they go through this chapter.
“For me personally, I know that I’m just as responsible and have just as much pressure,” he shared. “And I think that’s kind of helped her ease up the negative self-talk and help her lose some stress, too.”
Dean mentioned that traveling has also been a great outlet for the two of them and a way to refocus on the positive.
“It has been a great big part of our relationship,” he said. “I think from the outset of our relationship, we both made it pretty clear that that’s something that we wanted to do to build off of.”
