Jamie Otis Reveals Her Family Is Growing in an ‘Untraditional Way’: ‘More Love, Chaos, and Adventure’

Bachelor Nation got to know Jamie Otis as she looked for love on Season 16 of “The Bachelor” and again on Season 3 of “Bachelor Pad.”
Jamie later appeared on the first season of “Married at First Sight” in 2014 and tied the knot with her husband, Doug Hehner.
The two have since welcomed four children: their daughter Henley in 2017, their son Hendrix in 2020, and twins Hawkins and Huxley in 2024.
Jamie loves to keep followers updated with her life online, often posting about family, motherhood, and her experience on reality TV.
And recently, the Bachelor Nation star revealed that her family is growing in an “untraditional way.”
In a new video online, she shared, “This is not the update I was expecting to give you. Doug and I have decided to expand our family, but not in the traditional way.”
Jamie clarified that she is not pregnant, but teased that she “made a decision that is about to add a whole lot more love, chaos, and adventure to our lives.”
She then had followers guess on what they think the decision was, and received many different responses, such as getting a pet, fostering, hosting an exchange student, donating embryos, etc.
The Bachelor Nation star then revealed the answer in another video titled, “We’re growing our family in an untraditional way…” and said, “We told you that we’re expanding our family, and if you guessed ducks, then you are right!” She explained, “We’re adding six ducks.”
Jamie expressed, “We are SO EXCITED to grow and hatch some sweet little ducklings!🦆🦆🦆We know we can’t keep them forever bc we don’t have a lot of land & I doubt our HOA approves ducks.🤪 But we have a family friend with lots of land and a chicken coop where they will go after we raise them up.🥰”
How fun! We are so excited for Jamie and her family on this sweet chapter. We can’t wait to see their ducks grow up!
