Raven Gates Responds to Fan Criticism of Her Finances: ‘This Isn’t Reality’
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Raven Gates Gottschalk meet and fall in love with Adam Gottschalk on Season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, Raven and Adam have tied the knot and welcomed two kids: their son Gates in January 2022 and their second son, Max, in July 2023.
The couple loves to keep people updated with their lives on social media, often posting about their family, marriage, and fun trips together. And last year, the two revealed that they are currently building their dream home together in Frisco, Texas.
Raven and Adam have been documenting the process online, and last month, the two revealed that they have decided to buy another house to renovate while their custom-built house finishes construction.
Recently while answering fan questions online, Raven received a comment from a fan that said, “This isn’t reality for most to be able to do who live paycheck to paycheck and have debt. Tips.”
The Bachelor Nation star responded to the comment and explained, “Going back to this topic for a second. I totally get that because that was ME!”
She went on, expressing, “I don’t want anyone to feel as though I am trying to make anyone feel less than. That was my story, too. But you don’t see that part, but I’m trying to show a bit more of the place I was in over 10 years ago & how I got out of it.”
Raven shared that she feels like people don’t remember “how broke, how in debt, how bad of credit, etc [she] had.”
She revealed that her high school had “free and reduced lunches for the whole school because of our poverty level,” and that “there’s so much to the story.” She explained there’s been a lot of “chance and luck” but also “a lot of grinding, failing and discipline.”
“I do believe there’s always a way for things to be better and if we lose sight of that, that’s when we can’t take the next steps, whatever that may look like,” Raven continued.
“I knew this topic would bring a lot of emotions from people so I’m not sure I should have even shared but I am trying to be more open and also sensitive to others. But all in all to encourage and say I KNOW how it feels & I believe in you and that your situation can get better.”
We always love hearing from Raven and appreciate her honesty while opening up with followers.
