Bachelor Nation first got to know Haley Ferguson Palve alongside her twin sister, Emily Ferguson Karlsson, on both “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Since her time on the shows, Haley married Finnish hockey player Oula Palve in May 2021, and the two welcomed their first child, daughter Lovi, in April 2024.

Throughout her journey to conceive, Haley has been candid about her fertility challenges and has opened up about pregnancy loss, canceled IVF cycles, and the emotional toll her TTC journey has taken.

This year, both Haley and Emily announced that they are currently expecting. And this week, the iconic twins joined “Bachelor Happy Hour” to discuss navigating pregnancy at the same time, fertility challenges, and more. 

While reflecting on their pregnancy journeys, Haley shared, “I think a lot of people think that it was really tough on me that [Emily] would get pregnant naturally and she’d get pregnant really quickly. But like honestly, to me, knowing what I know now — how difficult it is to get pregnant, pregnancy is a miracle. Honestly, it’s such a miracle. And I was obviously so happy for my sister because I know that’s what she wanted.”

Haley continued, and revealed the hardest part was seeing other people post-pregnancy announcements. 

“I remember getting pregnant and being like, ‘Oh, my gosh, what am I gonna do for my announcement? I’m so excited to share this news.’ And so I know when it’s time to announce that, how exciting it is for people,” she said. “But it’s simultaneously feeling sad for yourself because you’re not there yet. But I think opposite. I think it’s harder for you [Emily] than it is for me.” 

Emily chimed in in agreement and admitted to feeling guilty with her pregnancies. She said, “I felt guilty for sure because it just didn’t seem fair. Like, why would I be able to get pregnant but she wouldn’t? We’re twins. Like, everything should be the same, everything. It shouldn’t be so hard.” 

“I was able to support Haley so easily because she was so supportive of me too. But in a sense I’ve been to some of her appointments,” Emily recalled while detailing how she’s been able to support her twin through IVF.

“When they transferred Lovi, her first daughter, I was there for that which was really cool. And then I think there were a couple other appointments that I went to. I did a couple of her injections, which I think I did it wrong because the one time was when it [sprayed blood].” 

Haley laughed at the story and also noted that Emily has been a huge emotional support for her throughout fertility challenges as well, letting her cry, discuss it, and be a listening ear with no judgment.
