Hannah Brown Admits She Has ‘A Lot of Fear’ About Starting a Family
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Hannah Brown as the Season 15 Bachelorette, and she has since found love off-screen with husband Adam Woolard.
The couple officially tied the knot last year and have been keeping followers updated with their lives online.
As fans may recall, Hannah opened up last year about having a uterine septum — a condition that was impacting her fertility. And the other month, she underwent surgery to have her uterine septum removed as a first step in family planning.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star is opening up on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast about her fertility journey and admitted she has “a lot of fear” around starting a family.
Reflecting on her procedure, she said, “So glad that I found that out before I started trying. Oh my gosh, that was, I posted about this experience and the amount of women who messaged me and were like, ‘I’m so glad that you figured this out before.’ It’s like an 80% chance of a miscarriage.”
Hannah went on, expressing, “If I hadn’t had a great doctor in Los Angeles help find this, I would’ve never known. I would’ve had to go through so much heartbreak until they finally are like, ‘Oh, let’s do an ultrasound.’”
Hannah shared she hopes having a baby might be easy now, which both excites and scares her.
“And now I’m like maybe it’ll be easy and now I’m a little scared. I’m like, ‘Wait. Am I ready for this?’ I don’t know,” she confessed. “To be very honest, I have a lot of fear of starting a family. I have fear around any type of commitment to anything, so a child is a big commitment. But I know that I would regret not doing that.”
The former Bachelorette admitted that while scared, she has been envisioning having a baby recently.
“I have been starting to have dreams about having a baby. And looking at the baby and being like, ‘Oh, I love you.’ So I think it’s happening — it’s starting to happen,” she said. “So I guess we’re getting there, but consciously, I’m like that seems like the scariest thing that you ever do.”
We always love hearing from Hannah and appreciate her honesty. We’re continuing to send her our love and support as she goes through this process!
