Kaitlyn Bristowe Reveals New Diagnosis in Health Update: ‘Finally Validated My Pain’

Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Kaitlyn Bristowe on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since her time on the shows, Kaitlyn loves to keep followers updated with her life on social media as well as her podcast.
The former Bachelorette enjoys focusing on health and wellness, often posting about her self-care routines and relatable life experiences online.
And this week, Kaitlyn revealed a new diagnosis while sharing a health update on Instagram.
In a new video, she shared, “Okay, you know me, I like to take care of the old bod and I did something that I did two years ago, but I kind of want to do it every couple years.”
Kaitlyn discussed getting a full body scan to check for things that are hard to identify until there are symptoms present.
She then revealed, “Speaking of symptoms, I’ve been dealing with painful periods for so long. It’s always been brushed off, but here I got validated.”
The Bachelor Nation star stated that her scan showed evidence of why she’s been dealing with painful periods.
“Now I have something on paper that validates my pain because look right there, circled is where I have endo tissue,” she shared. “The scan that finally validated my pain.”
Kaitlyn also added, “Turns out my fibroids are back AND I have endo tissue. No wonder my periods are SO PAINFUL. Ugh. But other than that I’m a lil healthy horse.”
Followers filled the comments with their love and support, with some sharing their own stories of having endometriosis.
One person asked, “Ok why is this not common as screening option for endo?! I’ve been told ‘There’s no way to screen or test for it unless you get surgery’ 👀”
