Jenny McCarthy Reveals Ashley Iaconetti Was Her Nanny Before ‘The Bachelor’

Fans got to know and love Ashley Iaconetti as she looked for love on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and various Bachelor Nation shows over the years.
As fans know, Ashley first met her husband Jared Haibon on Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2015. The two later got engaged on Season 5 of “Paradise.”
The couple officially tied the knot in August 2019. Since then, they’ve welcomed son Dawson in 2022 and their second son, Hayden, in 2024.
Ashley and Jared have gone on to appear on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” and love to keep people updated with their lives online.
Now, more lore about Ashley’s “Bachelor” journey has just been revealed as actress Jenny McCarthy joined the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast and shared that the Bachelor Nation star used to be her nanny.
She said, “The story behind Ashley I. you guys, is she was my former nanny. She was my son’s nanny, and of course my son was like, ‘I have the hottest nanny in the world!’”
Jenny went on and revealed that Ashley was working for her when she got chosen for “The Bachelor.”
“One day she’s like, ‘I can’t work for you anymore.’ And I was like, ‘Why! Who’s stealing you?’ And she’s like, ‘I got chosen to go on ‘The Bachelor,’” Jenny recalled. “I was like, ‘Listen, you’re going to do everything I tell you to do, and you’re gonna make it. You’re gonna just pull through! I don’t know if you’re going to find love, but everyone’s gonna know who Ashley I is after this.’”
Reflecting on Ashley’s “Bachelor” journey, Jenny confirmed that the Bachelor Nation star was genuinely searching for love.
She said, “She was authentically looking for love, that’s the thing that you can tell from Ashley I. is those tears are genuine. Are they ridiculous? Of course. But they are genuine. Oh, my God, we fell in love with her through those tears. We fell in love with her through her beautiful, ugly cry. Because it was real. She really had these crushes you know.”
Jenny added, “That’s what I knew going into it, was going to work for her. She’s got the realness part. She did so well on that show and she became a little bit of America’s sweetheart after that.”
