Serene Russell Details Creepy Encounter of Being Followed in a Parking Lot: ‘I Need to Get a Taser’
So scary.
Fans got to know Serene Russell on Season 26 of “The Bachelor” and again on Season 8 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” Serene famously found love on the beaches of “Paradise,” but they eventually decided to part ways.
While her on-screen relationship didn’t work out, she hard-launched her off-screen relationship with fellow Bachelor Nation star Brendan Morais last year.
The two have been going strong ever since, and Serene loves keeping followers updated with her life online.
Recently, the Bachelor Nation star went through a creepy experience of being followed and detailed the event on social media.
In a new video, she said, “In case any men on here wanna know what it’s like for their sisters, their wives, their girlfriends, their mothers, this is what it’s like being a woman in 2026.”
Serene went on to describe that she went to Walmart for a quick return, and when leaving the store to walk back to her car, a car stopped her.
“This guy stops me in his car,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Excuse me, ma’am,’ and I turn around for a second because I’m like, you know, maybe I dropped something. Or maybe he’s trying to tell me something. I could tell he was about to hit on me, so before he said anything else, I went, ‘No, thank you.’ I just kept walking.”
Serene went on and shared that as she continued walking to her car, the guy began slowly following her to the point where she didn’t know that she was being followed.
“I’m about to get in my car and he pulls up, runs out of the car to where he’s like 5 feet from me with his friend in the car,” she stated. “And he’s like, ‘I just – excuse me.’ And I was like, ‘What do you want? Do you need something?’
Luckily, there was another car behind him, but like what the heck? … I said, ‘I have a boyfriend and I don’t want to talk to you.’”
Serene added, “Like, what part of the first interaction said yes, pursue me in a car with another man while I’m by myself in a parking lot?... I need to get a taser.”
How scary! We are so glad that Serene is safe and we’re sending our love. That must’ve been so nerve-wracking.
