Catherine Lowe Shares Health Update on Son Isaiah as Their Family Adjusts to ‘New Normal’
Sending our love.
Fan-favorite couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Lowe famously found love and got engaged on Season 17 of “The Bachelor.”
Since their time on the show, the two tied the knot and have welcomed three children: Samuel, Isaiah, and Mia.
Catherine and Sean love keeping followers updated on their lives on social media, often sharing sweet glimpses into their relationship and family.
And this week, Catherine took to Instagram to share an update, stating that their family has had a “rough” week.
Alongside photos of their son Isaiah, Catherine revealed that he had to be admitted to Children’s Hospital and was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
She wrote, “This past week has been a rough one for the Lowes. Our precious boy Isaiah was admitted to Children’s Hospital and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Our wonderful pediatrician noticed some symptoms at our annual appointment that stuck out to her.”
The Bachelor Nation star noted that Isaiah had symptoms they thought were associated with a growth spurt and being active in the summer heat. But after running some tests, the pediatrician “sent us to the emergency room based on those alarming results. Thankful for the nurses, doctors and staff who gave us a 4 year college education on his condition in 4 days.”
Reflecting on the past week, Catherine went on, “This tough boy has endured countless injections, four days away from his home and a lifestyle and routine that feels very very foreign. He’s done all this without losing his playful spirit and a joy that doesn’t make sense. A lot of tears, pain and confusion too, but he has been a trooper, no question about it.”
She then ended her post with pride for her son and shared that they’re adjusting to a “new normal.”
Catherine expressed, “Isaiah is my new hero and I am so proud to be his mama. Prayers for him, his siblings and his parents are welcomed as we navigate this new normal. ❤️.”
We are sending our love to Catherine, Sean, Isaiah, and their entire family. We’re keeping them in our thoughts as they navigate this new chapter.
