Dylan Barbour Shares Update on Joe Amabile’s Mindset Ahead of Brain Surgery
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation saw fan-favorite couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt fall in love and get engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
The couple tied the knot in 2023 and has been keeping fans updated with their lives on social media since.
Earlier last month, Joe shared the heartbreaking news online that doctors discovered he has an “early stage brain tumor” and will need brain surgery.
Now, ahead of his upcoming surgery, Joe’s fellow Bachelor Nation star Dylan Barbour exclusively gave US Weekly an update on his health and current mindset.
“Just saw Joe in the Hamptons,” Dylan said. “He’s doing well. It’s good to see him. Good to spend time with him. I talk to him weekly.”
Continuing, Dylan shared how Joe is feeling about his surgery this week and how he and his wife Hannah Godwin are supporting their friend.
He stated, “Surgery is coming up, but we’re praying for him. Obviously, my whole family is thinking about him. Joe’s the best. We spent summers together at our lake house. We went to the Hamptons. Him and Serena [Pitt] couldn’t be better people. I’m hoping for the best.”
The Bachelor Nation star also added that “life is good for Joe right now” and Joe remains both upbeat and positive during this time.
“He’s healthy, working out, eating well,” Dylan went on. “I give him a hard time. You obviously don’t want to play too much into it. You can get pretty sad about those things.”
Dylan expressed they’re remaining hopeful for the outcome of Joe’s surgery and emphasized how good of a guy his friend is.
He shared, “Everybody’s still holding out hope it’s just going to be all good. I think it will be, and we’re thinking of it. But Joe couldn’t be a better guy.”
We are sending all our love to Joe and Serena. We’re keeping them in our thoughts during this time, and we’re wishing him all the best with his surgery.
