Chock Chapple Gets Prostate Removed in Cancer Scare — Get the Details

Bachelor Nation saw Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple fall in love and get engaged on the very first season of “The Golden Bachelorette.”
Since their time on the show, the two have been spending time together in their respective hometowns and traveling the world together.
The couple loves to keep fans updated with their lives online.
And this week, Chock revealed in a video on social media that he got his prostate removed in a recent cancer scare.
He shared, “I had something happen when I got off the show. I had a blood test that was drawn that showed I had an elevated PSA. So we monitored for a while and my PSA kept increasing. Long story short, a biopsy, an MRI, and then another biopsy and it turned aggressive.”
Chock continued, revealing that he decided to have his prostate removed last week.
“Last Wednesday I had my prostate removed and made the decision to just to go ahead and have it removed,” he shared.
Chock explained that cancer runs in his family, so he felt it was the best decision to make.
“My son asked how much time I wanted with my grandkids, and that made the decision easy,” he expressed. “Get it removed. Be around. For them. For Joan, for the rest of her life.”
Chock then gave advice for his followers to always get checked.
“Guys, get tested. Have your PSA checked. Early [detection] is everything,” he stated.
