‘Bachelorette’s’ Clayton Remembers Friend Hayden Panettiere in Touching Tribute: ‘Sweet Hayden’

Bachelor Nation was first introduced to Clayton as one of the men from Season 22 of “The Bachelorette.”
As fans know, the season is currently on pause. While viewers wait to see what happens, the men from Season 22 have been sharing their stories online as well as the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.
Clayton has opened up before about being friends with some well-known artists and celebrities.
Now, he has taken to social media to honor his late friend, actress Hayden Panettiere, who tragically passed away over the weekend.
In a touching tribute online, Clayton posted a video of the two of them singing a song together as he plays the guitar.
The video shows the two of them laughing and smiling together as they sing along. And one of the last lines sung in the video is, “When I said ‘I do’ I meant it. Forever and a day. So that goodbye is something I’ll never have to say.”
Clayton expressed in his caption, “Sweet Hayden. I spent last night trying to process, to try to find the right words, but there really aren’t any. More than anything, I hope you’re at peace now and reunited with Jansen.”
He reflected on some of their last conversations together, including the last text Hayden ever sent him.
“It’s been a couple of weeks since our last phone call,” he went on, “but the last thing you ever texted me was, ‘Honestly, people think it’s a joke to ask for world peace, but that would be me.’ That was you in a nutshell.”
Clayton then ended his post with a note of love and gratitude for his and Hayden’s friendship.
He wrote, “I’m grateful I got to know you, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories. Fly high, Hayden. 🤍”
