Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Trott on Season 25 of The Bachelor, and she’s been keeping followers updated with her life on social media ever since.

Sarah introduced her fiancé, Grant Fisher, to Bachelor Nation in 2023, and the two announced the exciting news of their engagement at the end of last year. 

As fans may recall, Sarah opened up while on the show about struggling with her own hesitation of being away after her father’s diagnosis of ALS. She left the show to return home to take care of her dad and spend time with family during the difficult time.

A year later, Sarah shared the heartbreaking news online that her father had passed away.

Now, as the Bachelor Nation alum gets closer to tying the knot, she has taken to social media to share how she will be honoring her dad at her wedding. 

In a new video, Sarah revealed that she and Grant decided to honor her dad’s memory in a way they think would make him proud. 

“We are now 10 days out from my wedding and remembering him so much and just thinking about how we can celebrate and honor him at our wedding,” she said. “As Grant and I were thinking about this, we thought long and hard about how do we remember him and honor him and the ALS community? So Grant and I decided to create the Tom Trott Scholarship in conjunction with Hope Loves Company — an incredible nonprofit Grant and I both have volunteered with and is near and dear to our heart.”

Sarah continued, expressing, “I just know my dad would be thrilled about this because he loved investing in others. He loved education and children. And Hope Loves Company supports children who have a parent or had a parent with ALS.”

The bride-to-be then shared that instead of a wedding registry, they’re asking loved ones to support their new scholarship instead. 

“Instead of a wedding registry, Grant and I are using this as an opportunity to raise awareness for ALS — Lou Gehrig’s disease — uplift the community, and honor my dad’s impact and legacy,” she said. “All funds raised will benefit a student pursuing college who has been impacted by a parent or loved one with ALS.”

Sarah then ended the video with a message for her dad, who she revealed would’ve been 65 years old this week: “And happy heavenly birthday to my dad. I love you and I miss you.”
