Joe Amabile & Serena Pitt Share Big Update on Joe’s Brain Surgery Recovery

Bachelor Nation saw fan-favorite couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt fall in love and get engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
The couple tied the knot in 2023 and has been keeping fans updated with their lives on social media since.
Earlier last month, Joe shared the heartbreaking news online that doctors discovered he has an “early-stage brain tumor” and needed brain surgery.
This month, the Bachelor Nation star revealed that the doctors were able to successfully remove the entire tumor during his surgery and he has been diagnosed with a very low-grade astrocytoma.
Joe and Serena have been keeping followers updated on his recovery journey on social media.
This week, the two shared a big update on their Instagram Stories. Serena posted that they were headed to NYU Langone Health to get the staples out of Joe’s head.
Over a collage of photos, she said, “Trip to [NYU Langone Health] today to get Joe’s staples out! He’s now able to slowly ease back into normal activities!”
Joe then posted a video of the process on his Instagram Story, which he then shared on TikTok, revealing that the doctor removed 23 staples.
In the video, Joe is seen sitting as the staples are removed and Serena asks, “How does it feel, Joe?”
The Bachelor Nation star replies, “It feels kind of like nothing. It doesn’t really feel like anything.”
He captioned the video, “23 staples removed #brainsurgery,” and followers filled the comments with their love and support.
