‘Bachelorette’ Stylist Cary Fetman Shares Dramatic Story Behind Hannah Brown’s Iconic Ballgown

If you’ve been keeping up with “The Bachelorette” over the years, you’ve probably seen all the stunning looks rocked by our Bachelorettes week after week each season.
All these outfits are thanks to Bachelor Nation wardrobe stylist and costumer Cary Fetman.
Cary has been styling for the Bachelor Nation franchise since the very beginning.
Lately, he’s been taking to social media to reflect on his experience and share behind-the-scenes stories of some of Bachelor Nation’s most iconic looks.
This week, the stylist shared the dramatic story behind Hannah Brown’s iconic emerald-green ballgown from her season of “The Bachelorette.”
In his post, Cary posted unseen behind-the-scenes photos of Hannah in the ballgown and revealed that it needed its own suitcase to travel. He also shared that they ran into unexpected issues with the gown.
He wrote, “A gown so big it needed its own suitcase. By the time Hannah arrived, we were already an hour behind. Then we discovered the skirt couldn’t move properly across the carpet.”
Cary then recalled that Hannah was determined to wear the dress and they were in a time crunch to try to make it work.
“Hannah looked at it and made the call: if the gown couldn’t move, neither would she,” he reflected. “Everyone said there wasn’t time. A few minutes later, the executive producer was on his hands and knees rolling up the carpet himself.”
Cary added, “Hannah understood how clothes were meant to move — and the result was worth fighting for. Swipe for the part of television styling you’re never supposed to see.”
People shared their love for the dress in the comments, and it was noted that the dress was created by Randi Rahm.
Cary also added one more behind-the-scenes confessional in the comments, writing, “Only @hannahbrown could make it move like that. While she took the blame I hate to admit I was the a** in her ear saying it won’t glide on carpet. I figured it was time to come clean.”
