Katie Thurston Opens Up About Getting Chin Lipo in New Post: ‘I’m All About Transparency’

Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston was diagnosed with breast cancer early last year and has kept her followers updated throughout her treatment journey online.
Katie later shared that her breast cancer had spread to her liver and progressed to stage 4. Soon after, she began a new treatment plan, and the tumors in her body started shrinking.
Recently, Katie underwent a double mastectomy and has continued to keep her followers updated on her health and recovery.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star has taken to her Instagram Story to reveal that she recently underwent a cosmetic procedure.
Over a photo of herself sitting on the couch with her dog, Charlie, and wearing a wrap around her head, Katie opened up about the procedure.
She said, “After so many required medical surgeries, I decided to do one for myself. And I’m all about transparency.”
Katie went on to reveal that she had never undergone a cosmetic procedure before until now.
She said, “Never had Botox. Never had filler. But today I did in fact have chin lipo.”
Katie also got candid about her recovery so far and expressed how difficult it has been.
Over a photo of Ritz crackers and a breakfast shake, she wrote, “Breakfast at 6:40AM because I can’t open my mouth much wider, swallowing sucks, and I want to take pain meds but not on an empty stomach.”
She also shared that she’ll keep her followers updated on her recovery when she can, but for now, she’s “down for the count.”
