Joe Amabile Completes Longest Run Since Brain Surgery and Gives Recovery Update
Let’s go, Joe!
Bachelor Nation saw fan-favorite couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt fall in love and get engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” The couple tied the knot in 2023.
In July, Joe shared the news that they discovered an “early-stage brain tumor” and he needed brain surgery.
Earlier last month, the Bachelor Nation star revealed the doctors were able to successfully remove the entire tumor during his surgery.
He has since been diagnosed with a very low-grade astrocytoma and revealed he will be on treatment for life. Joe has been keeping followers updated on his recovery journey since.
Joe is an avid runner and previously mentioned that he wants to train for the New York City marathon this year.
The Bachelor Nation star has been easing back into running after his surgery, and just revealed that he completed his longest run yet while in recovery!
In a new post on social media, Joe shared a video of himself after his run and captioned it, “Longest run since surgery.”
He then revealed in the video, “Just ran five miles. Longest run yet,” ending it by holding up a peace sign.
People filled the comments of his video with their support, writing things such as, “Yay, Joe. So good to see you looking good and I’m glad you are running. 🙏♥️” and “Great Job!!! One step at a time.”
Joe also gave an update on his recovery so far and shared some pictures online. The photos show him smiling and looking well as he hangs out in New York.
Joe shared close ups of the healing scar on his head as well and wrote, “I feel like my scar is coming along pretty nicely.”
Serena commented, “Scars night out!!!” and Joe replied, “That’s a better caption than mine”
We’re so glad that Joe’s recovery is going well and he continues to feel better. We’re sending him and Serena all our love, and we’re wishing them the best. You’ve got this, Joe!
