Katie Thurston Shares Before and After Photos of Her Cosmetic Procedure: ‘Being Realistic’

Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston was diagnosed with breast cancer early last year and has kept her followers updated throughout her treatment journey online.
This year, Katie underwent a double mastectomy and has continued to keep her followers updated on her health and recovery.
And recently, the Bachelor Nation star took to her Instagram Story to reveal that she recently underwent a cosmetic procedure — chin lipo.
She said, “After so many required medical surgeries, I decided to do one for myself. And I’m all about transparency. Never had Botox. Never had filler. But today I did in fact have chin lipo.”
The former Bachelorette has been sharing updates on her recovery, and over the weekend, she shared some before and after photos on her Instagram Story.
Katie posted two pictures of her side profile and said, “24 hours apart. Still swollen and healing. Stitches under my chin. I had a tiny drain where that dot is by my ear. The drain was removed [the] next day.”
Katie also added, “I’ll do a more in depth video as I continue to learn things and see the progress over the next few weeks to months.”
The Bachelor Nation star then revealed the reason why she’s sharing about her chin lipo online and what she hopes followers take away from her posts.
“Only sharing my journey for transparency and for those who are interested. Not trying to influence you to do this or make a statement about what is and isn’t beautiful,” she stated. “We often compare ourselves to others and I think it’s more important to be open and honest about things like this so that we are being realistic.”
She went on, “And if people want to remain private about what they do to feel better about themselves, that’s ok. I just want to remind everyone that we do live in a world of cosmetic procedures, filters, and FaceTune. And at the end of the day, do whatever makes YOU happy.”
