Kaity Biggar Reveals Why She Hasn’t Been Working in Nursing, Family Planning Update, and More

Bachelor Nation fans watched Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross fall in love and get engaged on Season 27 of “The Bachelor.”
Since then, the fan-favorite couple has been living life together in Austin, Texas, with their adorable dog, Honey and recently moved into their custom-built home.
If you’ve been keeping up with Kaity since Season 27, you know that she was a nurse before going on “The Bachelor” and went right back to work at the hospital after coming off the show.
Kaity will often post content about her life working as a nurse, and eagle-eyed fans noticed she hasn’t been posting that content recently.
While answering fan questions online, Kaity shared the reason why and said, “My VisaScreen expired in May, which made me ineligible to work until I receive my green card. Yes, I could’ve filed the paperwork to continue working, but I was honestly okay with taking a little break!”
Continuing, Kaity revealed that while she plans on returning to nursing, she’s also considering what she wants to do next.
“I haven’t been working at the hospital. I’ve just been waiting for my green card interview and taking this time to figure out what I want to do next,” she shared. “I worked hard for my degree, and I’ll absolutely continue working as a nurse, but I will be saying goodbye to bedside nursing.”
Fans then asked the Bachelor Nation star about future family planning and if she and Zach are nervous.
Kaity answered, “Absolutely not! We are so excited. Just have some other bucket list stuff to knock off before we start trying!”
She also shared that they envision possibly moving out of Texas within the next five to 10 years.
“Zach and I were talking about our 5-10 year goal yesterday actually and we both see us moving out of state! But you never know 🤗”
