Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer Tease Their Engagement: ‘Madly in Love’
Are wedding bells ringing?!
Bachelor Nation saw Andrew Spencer and Alexe Godin fall in love on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
The couple won $125,000, and since then, the two have been enjoying life together and traveling the world. Andrew and Alexe love to keep fans updated with their adventures and relationship online.
And while chatting on the “Trading Secrets” podcast with fellow Bachelor Nation star Jason Tartick, the two teased their future engagement.
“I’m a hardcore romantic. I could live under the overpass if it’s with the person I’m madly in love with. That’s all I care about. And obviously I want to have a good life,” Andrew shared. “We just had the longest conversation this week. It was really needed and I think… it was so beautiful.”
Andrew went on and explained that he’s never been in a position to feel ready to propose before until now.
“I think Bachelor Nation and people see people from ‘The Bachelor’ and they think it’s really easy to propose to somebody. And they think, ‘Oh, it just happens when I’m there,’ and it’s like, ‘I’ve never been here before,’” he said. “Everyone’s like, ‘When are you getting married?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my God’… You finally come to terms that this is — there is no expiration date on this relationship. And all your other relationships you always felt an expiration date…
“We love spending time together, but we have to decide on both of our wants. We’re two, both, individuals that are very independent and I wanna make sure that she is getting everything that she wants out of life.”
Alexe also chimed in and both she and Andrew agreed they will be getting engaged one day but are not in a rush.
She said, “I think the takeaway also for me is more like, ‘I don’t see an expiration date for the first time in a relationship,’ so I love taking my time because I’m like, ‘No, we will get probably — no, not probably — we will get engaged at one point.’ So I’m like, ‘We can do our own little thing that we need to. We don’t need to rush everything and make it a thing because I know it’s going to happen.’”
Andrew then revealed, “And then on the flipside, we’re sending each other rings. So it’s like, ‘There’s no pressure, look at this one here!’ Putting both those together, and like I said, patience is our key word. It is; we’re not in a rush to do this or that. If we’re spending the rest of our lives together, we’re in no rush. Because then we also talk about wedding [stuff] — what we want to do for our wedding? We’re just trying to figure out what’s the best thing for us moving forward with how we want to navigate.”
We love following Alexe and Andrew’s love story and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. We'll keep you posted if we hear any updates!
